A Quickie

Journal Entry: Tue Oct 20, 2009, 10:02 AM

Dear fellow Deviants,

I just realized how long it's been since I last posted.
So long ago that I had a job then. I can no longer say I'm employed. Since I went to camp actually. I'm thinking of applying at Cob's Bread. I think I'd like it there. I mean, I'd be competing with Pu, an Asian girl who barely speaks English. Hmmm...

In other news, I'm trying to do as much school as possible and not going to work kind of helps with that seeing as I have more time to do it. But I need a job. I like shopping too much to not. Correction: I hate shopping; I like getting new things. Oh yeah, and saving up for stuff is good.

I wish I was able to do more writing and music-ing and photographing but I gotta do what I gotta do first.

Check out my Flickr for more piccies: [link]

Thank you so much for the favorite on the first of my "Cowboy" shots, haha :D

I really appreciate the recognition!

It's the first shot in a series of experimental stuff I was doing, so if you want to check it out.... [link]

Well, it's great! I really, really like it. I'm a huge fan of black backgrounds and cool lighting (and not to mention a great body... :P ) I wish I had a studio or a place I could do that in... I really like it 'cause it's a very cowboy-y stance and the fact I can't see his face makes it mysterious.
What's better than a mysterious, rough-looking, cowboy in jeans with a nice body and no shirt?

Hmmm... a Cowgirl in the same situation ;)

Though you can scratch "rough looking" if you want. I don't mind :P

And thanks! I love photos like those too, obviously. Haha you don't need a studio! Like I said in the description I was literally coming home from the gym and couldn't sleep and I just had the inspiration to find these old black sheets of cloth from my sister's wedding we had stored around and I just clothes-pinned them to two things on the wall to create a backdrop. Then I put my camera on a tripod =] The only thing I had that you might not is a really basic flash unit (SB-600... they're pretty old. SB-1000s are the new ones) that my father happened to have a stand for.

It was quite the adventure :D

And thanks for the watch, by the way! I might just reciprocate the favor :]
:iconoro91:
Hehe :)
No prob.

Still, I don't have the space for that. I also don't have black sheets... :P I have dark blue sheets but they're fitted so they have the elasticy bits. I should look into getting some though. I could probably set something up at my grandma's :/
And no, I don't have a flash unit. But I have some directional lamp things... I'll see what I can do.
Thanks for the inspiration and the watch! :)
