Dear fellow Deviants,

As much as I like Flickr, DeviantArt is much better for getting feedback on my work. I like to know what people think about it and I don't have many friends on Flickr and I have yet to receive a single comment on any photo I've posted. I miss dA. I like dA, and dA's "'ants."

I'm posting my favourite pictures here for you so all you're going to get is "the good stuff" (according to my personal opinion).

What's new?
I've got a job and I'm going to be saving up for some camera equipment.
I haven't been taking enough pictures lately and it's bothering me so I've decided to "screw it" and ask people I don't know very well if I can take pictures of them. - Friends of friends. No profit unless they want actual prints/framing. I want to get into this more. I want to take more pictures of more people. I've got some people and ideas in mind so things should be good.

I have a Flickr. Yes, it's true... I swing that way. It's not like I don't love you any more, DeviantArt. You'll always be in my heart and I will still upload pictures here... just less frequently... which has kind of been the case anyway for the last while. (What kind of term is "kind of" anyway?) I'll post my writing here! Flickr IS easier for uploading pictures... Please don't take this in the wrong way.
Well, okay, you can take it a little in the wrong way... which is actually the right way... unless you're a fast brain in which case keep left...

In other news... I baked my first bread today. Two loaves of potatotato bread. Yes, potatotato. It turned out quite nicely. The recipe book I used has never failed me... best 13 bucks I ever asked my mom to spend on me that I promised I'd pay her back but never did. I'm sure she's glad she did though... otherwise I would never have made that apple cake. Or pizza. Or those bite-sized cheese things. Or eggnog cheesecake. Etc.

I keep having fights with religious people. I'm such a masochistic freak in this regard, it's not even funny. I kind of have fun though... I usually don't get any where, at least not noticeably short-term but who knows? Maybe they'll think a little more about it. Happy Atheist Day, btw!

Dear fellow Deviants,

It's been too long. WAY too long. Last post: December! It felt like December today... it's snowed again! And just when I thought spring was approaching, I learn I have to go back into my den and stay warm.

I've been lazy with my uploading. I have a lot of pictures I can upload and even more to edit. I got to take a bunch of pictures of a boy, so that was nice. Aaand several epic FiOri Days have occurred so I have some shots from then as well.

That's all for now, kids. Short and sweet, who would have thought?

Merry Christmas, happy New Year, happy Hanukkah, happy Solstice, happy Kwanzaa, and all that jazz, tango, rock, hip hop, rap, country, techno, elevator music, disco, metal, ska, grunge, reggae, house, electronica, jingle, R&B, opera, classical, ditty, folk, alternative, blues, punk, etc.

This is the first dA journal entry I'm posting using my fabulous, sexy, whiplashingly fast, smooth and shiny new laptop. I love it. I LOVE IT! I love it.
Christmas was good this year. We celebrate on the 24th so presents were opened last night. I made my classic eggnog cheesecake with rum sauce for dessert, had the traditional mushrooms soup (for dinner last night AND breakfast today!) and my mom made the ever-changing, non-traditional main dinner -> fish+potatoes, esparagus and summer squash. T'was a yummyful night. I hope everyone was as happy as I was with their presents.

And about art... well... I've decided that the huge amount of pictures that I've yet to upload is so great, that the pretty number of deviations displayed on my main page (999) will have to face change. Many FiOri days of mass epictude have taken place accompanied by photographic evidence of said epictude. Also, I've got a lot of pictures of my brother from photo shoots... and more! Maybe. I'll upload them soon, I swear! Sort of. Well... I'm going to try!!!
